New YDM
Description:	One of the 5. Not sure if these are leased or bought by KTMB. To be honest, the reason YDM4 are reliable because of Ircon. If KTMB maintain it, i think it will share the same fate as the other locos. Hopefully they have an agreement where Ircon maintains the loco. Sentul. 29March2009

Anyway..

Just noticed that this YDM4 doesn't wear a songkok, meaning that it's not air-conditioned.

Maintain

If like you say that the reason why YDMs are reliable is due to the maintenance done by Ircon then how come KTM does not jut let Ircon maintain all the other locos. Looking at the conditions of most of the locos especially those of 24 class especially those plying the eastern route, it is very disheartening.

fandagofreddie , nie yang kau cakap YDM 4 baru yang masih berbungkus dgan plastik . anyway aku kalau boleh nak tengoklah yang train senandung langkawi 8 untuk hari sabtu malam ahad nie adakah ditarik oleh YDM 4 6633 yang baru nie , anyway kepada sesiapa member-member railway fan kalau ada rezeki sabtu malam ahad nie kita jumpa di dalam train EL 8 jam 8 malam di coach U1 ye .malam tu saya naik train nie utk ke Alor Setar . bye Salzuan seat 13A

I think the reason they dont let Ircon maintain all their locos is the cost. Plus they do have the expertise and equipment to maintain their own locos, just dunno where it went wrong.
